Non-Surgical Facial Treatments-(for Frown Lines, Forehead, Crows Feet)

Anti-wrinkle Injections

Wrinkles or facial lines are caused by repeated contractions of facial muscles. These muscles are used every time we frown or smile and in time, due to the repeated use of these muscles, facial lines develop. The more expressive you are the deeper the lines will become.

Facial lines can be improved by ‘denervation’, which involves muscle relaxing injections to soften the appearance of expression lines, crows feet, worry and frown lines.

At Puresmile Dental Care, we are able to offer ‘Botox’ therapy following a free initial consultation with no obligation to purchase.

Our practitioners are certified and trained to carry out a full and detailed examination of your face and offer advice on the most appropriate treatment for you, taking into account all your expectations and requirements.

Following the consultation, our practitioner will speak to you and reassure you before prescribing the injections required.

It is advised that you return after 2 weeks in order to review expectations and outcomes, and if necessary top up the treatment to your personal satisfaction.

What are Dermal Fillers?
A Dermal Filler is a substance which is injected into the skin to ‘plump’ it up, making it firmer, softening and smoothing out lines and wrinkles.
There are many dermal fillers on the market, but at Puresmile Dental Care, we use only the new category of synthetically produces non-animal products with hyaluronic acid.

What is hyaluronic acid?
This is a natural substance that is found throughout the body. For example, it adds volume to the skin, lubricates the joints and gives the eye its shape. The injections will not only fill wrinkles but also replace something that the skin has lost over time.

Are Dermal Fillers safe?
Dermal Fillers are extremely safe with a very low incidence of allergic reaction.

How are the injections performed?
The filler is injected into the lines and defects to plump them out. We use the new generation of dermal fillers that contain Lidocaine (anaesthetic) to reduce any discomfort. Local and topical anaethetic can also be used.

How long do dermal fillers last?
Typically the result can last six to twelve months but this is related to a number of factors such as area of injection, age of the skin, life style and the quality of the skin.

How long does it take for dermal fillers to work?
You’ll see the results as soon as your appointment is over.

Possible adverse effects (side effects)

You can expect some degree of redness, itching, swelling and tenderness after the treatment, which usually disappears within 1-2 days.
